Teen MMA Class (Ages 13–17)

Our Teen MMA class introduces young athletes to the full spectrum of Mixed Martial Arts in a safe, structured, and motivating environment. Teens learn how to combine striking, wrestling, and grappling while improving their fitness, confidence, and discipline.

Training includes:

Positional grappling rounds in an MMA are focused sparring sessions where partners start in specific grappling positions (like mount, back control, or side control) and work to improve or escape those positions. The goal is to sharpen real-fight scenarios with controlled intensity. Typically:

  • Each round starts in a set position (e.g. one person has mount).

  • The top person works to maintain, improve, or submit.

  • The bottom person works to escape or reverse.

  • Once the position is changed (e.g. escape or sweep), partners reset or switch roles.

  • Rounds are timed, usually 2–5 minutes.

It builds positional awareness, pressure control, and defensive instincts without full sparring.
